Papa Naera was younger brother to Paap, Te Kooti Reihana. I have a little memory of Papa Naera, as we rarely went to Awatere. Him and my Grandfather Te Kooti were sharing a few ales with all the whanau, and the both of them were ready to have a go at each other.
