February 1942 was spent re-equipping and training, the Battalion regaining its vitality. Read the war diary for February 1942 here
Mobile showers near Cassino

To help lift morale during a break from the desperate fighting at Cassino in early 1944, the mobile showers were opened to the men, pay was issued, and each soldier was given a free half bottle of beer, paid for via the Battalion's fund.
