Jack Baker, MC and bar

Major Jack Baker MC and bar, Mentioned in Dispatches – 'a Tiger tank, a bazooka and a grenade earned him his. He couldn't shake the army habit, went to Japan with J-Force and spent nine years in the regular Army.'

In Nga Tama Toa, p.337, historian Monty Soutar describes the action in which Baker earned a bar to his Military Cross (MC), clearing a path through a minefield in Italy.
