Haane Manahi, Jack Albert and Sam Tarawhiti montage

This image is a montage of all the photos and medals of Jack Albert and Haane Manahi that we took to the 2009 28th Māori Battalion Reunion in Wanganui. The large frame is of my father Corporal Jack Albert (see this in more detail here). [A photo of Sam Tarawhiti appears to the left of this frame].

Both our fathers received letters from Buckingham Palace. There are two photos missing that were also in the room but we could not get them all in the photo. Most of these are all hanging in the Rotorua RSA. We had to use a school group to help carry all the taonga onto the Marae... I also brought a 28tth Māori Battalion flag which is now in the Rotorua Museum.
