70 years ago this month

May 1942 the Battalion is still at Arsal in the Syrian foothills undertaking exercises and manoeuvres. Major Tiwi Love becomes the first Māori commander of the unit. Read the war diary for May 1942 here

Is there anyone out there who has any memories of our dad.From Kaihu, North Auckland, A Company. Was captured in Crete, a POW for the entire war. Settled in Panmure, returned to Kaihu in later years where he passed away in 1985.
