Several thousand people marched from Gisborne railway station to Te Poho-o-Rāwiri Marae for the launch of Monty Soutar's C Company history, Nga Tama Toa, on 25 October 2008. Among them were Ricky Kaa Tuari and Matariki Kaa. The little boy is holding a photograph of his tipuna, Lance Corporal Reihana Tangoiro, who was killed in Italy in December 1944.
