Henare Kima Tahiwi of Headquarters Company.

Henare Tahiwi is photographed here with Headquarters Company of the 28th Maori Battalion. It appears that he did not serve oveseas with them. However, he did serve as Lance Corporal with A Company of the 1st Maori Contingent in WWI.

This photo is of Henare Kima Tahiwi 16/298 on the Roll. He served overseas as part of the 1st Maori Contingent, A Company. His brother Pirimi Pererika Tahiwi 16/304 also served as part of the 1st Maori Contingent. His sister Ria Tahiwi (listed as his next of kin on embarkment) was my great grandmother.
