Kawai Morris sends a cablegram home from England 1945

Kawai enlisted using his younger brother's name - Jim Morris. Kawai was a POW in Italy from 1943 until the end of the war. During that time he wrote letters home to his mother and family.  This cablegram is the first he sent home after the war had ended.  A family member has written a little note about his mother's reaction to receiving it.
