Inspection of Māori Battalion, 1945

Lieutenant-Colonel Peter Awatere and Lieutenant-General Freyberg accompany Lt-Gen R.L. McCreery (commander of the British 8th Army) while he inspects the Maori Bāttalion at Castel Raimondo, Italy, 24 March 1945. McCreery presented Awatere with the DSO for his leadership at Faenza.
