This is my Uncle Ben who left in 1939 and was captured. He spent the rest of his time as a prisoner of war. One of a few enlisted men who was a prisoner at Colditz Castle, I understand this place was reserved for officers, but apparently he was considered to be high risk escapee, escaping from most of the other prison camps. I hope my cousins can add more.
