An excerpt from E. V. Haywards personal diary

I was reading through Denis Clough's wonderful submissions of E. V. Hayward's personal diary from 1942, and saw this entry:

'A. O. Kani. Died of wounds.'

A.O. Kani

Albert Ottley Kani is my uncle, my father served in the RNZAF and was a younger brother. This is a wonderful site and I am grateful for EV Haywards diary. Uncle Ottley was a great piano player too and many of his comrades told me about this. Henare Kani
