Maori Battalion and fallen comrades
Padre Huata leads members of the Māori Battalion in prayer and song at the graves of Māori Battalion soldiers at Sangro, Italy on 12 October 1945.
Earlier in September 1945 Padre Huata and other members of the battalion returned to Crete to hold a commemorative service for their comrades who had died there in 1941.
