'Hussif' or 'Housewife' presented to soldiers

During their final leave before embarking overseas, soldiers from Ruatōria were presented with a mending kit called a 'hussif' or 'housewife', as well as socks and cigarettes donated by Harold Kunioka, a local Japanese storekeeper.
