John Sonny Baker also known as Jack or Jacky was the son of Te Ratu (Sonny) Baker & Te Rina Riripeti DEWES. He married Rutu Tawhiorangi (Rangi) Maurirere. One of their sons was Ronald Tuakana Baker a twin.

I forgot to mention that Te Ratu Sonny Baker was the son of John (Jack) Lionel Baker and Merepaku Bartlett. And . . . you may already know this - The 'real' name of John Sonny Baker (also known as Jacky or Jack) was John Lionel Baker. There were 2 others in the same camp with the same name, his uncle and nephew. So, according to his son Ron, to avoid confusion when names were listed or called out, he took the name Sonny which his grandfather (Te Ratu) was commonly known as.
