Dear Willie; nga mihi nui kia koe. Your photos are true taonga. Thank you so much for sharing them...feel quite weepy. But I am pleased to see my father George Pitman in the A Company photo Part 4. Second row: third from right. He was raised by his grandparents Okeroa and Hoana Pitman in Whakapara and his Uncle Manira Pitman signed his next of kin papers. His parents died during the influenza epidemic. He is buried with my mother at Takahiwai urupa. They are never far from my thoughts but their memory is more precious when ANZAC day comes upon us.
