Tahu Nutira

Our Uncle, our hero. A young man that lives on in our hearts, his head stone says age 21yrs my Dad, his little brother tells me he was really only 19yrs. 2 years earlier he won his first battle had his papers signed by an Aunty (not his mum) and joined the cause albeit underaged. So many young men did it I'm told. My Dad, Maurice Nutira tells us the stories he remembers of his big brother, and stories he learnt from Soldiers and brothers in arms that did come home. He has a great nephew Tahu Russell who is learning of his hero and name sake. It is heart warming to find Uncle Tahu on your site, thank you so much...Rowena (nee Nutira)
