Tu, after his return from overseas service, like Henry Davis, was settled on a dry stock sheep and cattle farm at Okere Falls. In later life he was heavily involved in tribal matters and was a respected Kaumatua of Te Arawa and Ngati Pikiao in particular. Another warrior with a gentle exterior and a good friend.
