Captains Tenga Rangi (with cigarette) and Hanara (Arnold) Reedy (holding sign) head a queue of liberated New Zealand prisoners of war in Brussels, Belgium. Both had spent four years in captivity in Germany: Rangi had been captured in Greece and Reedy in Crete. These Māori officers reached England on 9 May 1945. They then embarked on the Mauretania and were back in New Zealand by 5 August.
