Māori Battalion HQ at Cassino

During the bitter close-range fighting in the ruins of Cassino in March 1944, the Māori Battalion's headquarters and Regimental Aid Post (RAP) were dug into the crypt of a destroyed church. This photograph was taken by the medical officer attached to the Battalion, Captain Campbell D'Arcy, around 22 March.
