A family member has identified the soldier in the centre foreground carrying his weapon on a slight upward angle as Richard Tame Tima Patuaka (67785) who served with D Company and embarked with the 8th Reinforcements.

Ned Nathan identified those within this photo,  - my question is to the family member who identified Richard Tame Tima Patuaka  - what is your reasoning? and is there evidence for this? 

Iask as this photo hangs in our grandfathers house as has always been known uncle ron was shown in the middle.
