About Me:

As the whanau of Sonny Sadlier we were very fortunate to know many of the old soldiers who lived and worked in and around Uawa rohe. They were men with a very special bond that was forged during the war years. Theirs was a remarkable relationship - an interactive celebration of support and remembrance, which we witnessed daily throughout our childhood. Nanny Tam, Turi, Haehae, Sid, Sharkey, Rongo and many others now passed on. We respected and held them in high esteem. Now, that they march among the stars ... we are thankful for all the memories that we possess. We shall never forget them!
