About Me:

I am the mokopuna of William Wereta who lost his life while fighting for our country. My whanau come from Ngarauru raua ko Ngati Ruanui. We were brought up in Patea and my mother Mary (Topsy) still lives there. She has never missed a dawn parade in memory of her father and she made sure while we were growing up that we attended every year also. Now we along with our children attend the dawn parades here in Australia in memory of our Koro whom we and my mum never had the pleasure & opportunity of ever meeting.
