Ko Maxine Williams taku ingoa Ko Wiremu Hotete Wiremu (Bill Williams) toku Papa Ngapuhi te Iwi Ngaitupango te Hapu Whakarara te Maunga Waiwhao te Awa Te Ngaere te Wahi My dad was Bill Williams 802639 28th Maori Battalion. I am 41 years old and live in Christchurch, born in Kaeo, Northland and raised in Auckland although we went back to Te Ngaere many times mainly for tangi and to my mothers whanau in Manaia Coromandel as much for the same reasons. I am very excited about this website because it gives me hope that some day I will find a photo of my dad as a soldier or a portrait of him at this stage of his life. He was so very proud to have served for his country and as a part of the 28th. Looking forward to watching this website with awe. Maxine
