Whanau Te Haate
Kia ora Kat, I'm your cousin Dawn, who put the posting on your Koro. It's fantastic to have a response from you. It's been sometime since I've logged onto the site and it was because of ANZAC Day that I had a nosey. Unfortunately I couldn't remember my password to respond but that's now sorted. When I posted this I thought "Aw gawd, I hope no one minds that I've put this on the web!!" but I'm glad your okay with it. Arohamai for the grammatical errors, I have tried to correct them but can't seem to! I have a photo of Koro Peno on a disk somewhere so will try and add it. I can also post you a photocopy of the letter if you would like? I got this letter from my mother Helen (Hineiwetekina Te Haate) Piggott. Her father is Te Waro Manu Te Haate, Peno's (younger?) brother.I've been interested in whakapapa for a number of years but really need to get home (like the rest of my whanau) to learn more and become better connected. Anyway, keep in touch! Arohanui, Dawn
