Kia ora tatou. My name is Tekooti Anderson. This is my father who served in the 28th Maori Battalion. I received my name after my uncle, who also was a member of the Battalion, Te kooti Wahapango. I am proud of all the men, particularly from Te Teko, who made us feel humble and honoured of their wairua and kaha. And, to all those men who did not return, we are all very proud and will always remember them. Arohaina atu ki a ratou katoa. Moe mai, moe mai.
