I have a photo of my early farming settler and grandfather Mr Jack Catley and his Te Pu rugby team mates among whom i think are young brothers Joe and Edward Douglas along side their father or uncle Mr Douglas who was as a selector and coach after winning the "Te Awahou Rugby Union Shield" of which year i am unsure but was certainly well pre-war and it features them all lined up for the winning team photo..i will attempt to find and post it if admin allows. My grandfather was a serious rugby man and his cousin Haswell Catley was a NZ Allblack..RIP those courageous boys above..Te Pu is an area between the two gorges on the Tauranga direct road from Ngongotaha to Pye Pa, Tauranga.
