I am one of many mokopuna for papa. He has a very large family including 3 great great grandchildren (5 generations) which they all had the pleasure of getting to know their Koro before he passed. Papa would have been 95 this November 2014. He would tell us all his war stories and I suppose if we all got together and shared each one we would have a movie :) Yes I do love his band story and I also love how he told my kids he's been all over the world but never been on a plane, the looks on their faces were priceless, I still don't think they know how he could have done this. As a Birthday present to my younger brother he gave him his Medals which was a great honour and privledge for my brother to have. We all loved spending time with papa and when he did start telling us his stories the room just went silent as we didn't want to miss out on any of the story as he didn't speak often of his time in the war but when he did we felt priviledged. We as kids were always curious and asked questions but he would only answer when he was ready :).... Papa passed 10.06.14, I will miss you...Mel --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
