My name is Merekara Pikiora Tunua, my dads name is Maia Maxwell Tunua I just found out that Rooti is my dads uncle on his mothers side. If anyone knows anything about Rooti please post a comment as I think it is very exciting to hav a family member in the 28th Battallion. To my Grand uncle, I am very honoured to be related to you. Rooti is my grand uncle, he is my grandmothers brother her name was Merekara Karetu. My dads name is Maia Maxwell Tunua. He didn't know much about him just how he died. I would to know about him as I am so proud to be related. If anyone knows anything about him I' like to hear from you.

My name is Lindsay Teroha Tunua,my dads name is Lordy Kitchener Tunua,who passed away in the 70s in Wagga NSW Australia,we were both born in Hastings,Im just trying to find out more about my family.Im proud to be related to this brave man and would like to know more about him since my dad was named after him,it would be nice to know more.

I am Karl Teariki, My mother is Christine Teariki (nee Tunua) my grandfather is Timoti Paraire Tunua, eldest son of Te Huinga Tunua and brother of Rooti Tunua. Its so nice to see cuzzy Mary and Cuzzy Lindsay leave messages here also, hopefully more and more of us will find this page and leave our message for our Koro who never came home. I have always thought of the Aunties, Uncles and cousins I would have had if he had come home.
